Josh Neufeld’s The Vagabonds #5 features a ten-year Hurricane Katrina anniversary update with the characters from A.D.: New Orleans After the Deluge. The story “Fare Game” (co-reported and co-written by Al Jazeera America’s Michael Keller) examines ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft. This issue features two collaborations with writer Adam Bessie, who is bravely living with a cancer diagnosis. Both pieces explore the ways technology filters the experience of living with an illness. Other pieces in this issue include a rundown of the origins and meanings of emojis, a humorous take on steroids in Major League Baseball, the changing nature of Brooklyn, and a selection of one-page comics. Not bad for five bucks!

Gregory Benton will have two posters for sale: “Little Nemo in B+F Land” and “Pest Control,” both 18″x24″, $10 each.

Dean Haspiel will be promoting his upcoming digital comix series, THE RED HOOK, launching April 6th at LINE Webtoons. Please be sure to ask him all about it.
